I cant find much information on the net regarding different training techniques for training search and rescue dogs. So i bought the book 'Search and rescue dogs, training the k9 hero - american rescue dog association'.
Are there any other decent books on the market that anyone can recommend?

If you can get hold of a copy of:

Ready by Susan Bulanda - Doral Publishing

Then you have the 2 best out there (its hard to get a copy now though).

Pete.

There are several US sites you can get it off and shipped over.

You can get it second hand on the US Amazon site for less than $40 +$12 shipping. At the current exchange rate this is only around £27 total.

Yea, mine ended up costing £27.65 inc. shipping. But it did say that shipping is 15-20 days!! Must be carrier pigeon!
