SAR Management Application

I have recently been pointed toward a new SAR Management Application Decisions for Heroes.

It is a web based system that allows you to keep track of Members, Qualifications, Incidents, Exercises and Events plus much much more. It is in a very intuitive format and includes great things like google maps.

I really couldn't do it justice by trying to tell you all about it so have a look at the tour if it sounds interesting to you.

Just request an invite code here and wait for your email. When your code is sent to you, just use that code to set up an account.

One great feature is the ability for a national body/Umbrella Body/Governing Body (which ever term you want to use) to send you a code which would then collate stats from all of its units!

This software is in beta testing stage, so if you don't mind a few minor errors, and giving feedback and suggestions on how to develop this application SIGN UP NOW!

I have been signed up for about a week now, and the email replies about errors and feedback that I have sent in have been great - Its nice to be dealing with a person rather than a computer or faceless Customer Support System.

Disclaimer - I am not being paid to write this review - I truly think that it is great!

I agree with Daryl, I would encourage you all to look at this CMS System. It really has hit the spot for our organisation and has some promising future developments that will make this one of the most talked about web apps of the future in SAR.
Help your team by trying it out.

Robert

I worked out some stats (6 weeks in).... 293 'heroes' in 36 teams have logged 14,832 hours to save 66 people across 87 rescues. They have held 187 training exercises and 108 events. Between them, they have 452 qualifications and call on over 102 other resources such as the Fire Dept. or Police.

Multiple that by 500. That’s my goal.

Hiya,

Whats so good about this application - is I'm not a pc person and a few nights back I was stuck. A simple enquiry was delt within 30mins give or take a few either side.

Advise to anyone - try it and get used to it, its going to be an asset in the SAR community

Congrat's to those who made this application possible.

Mojo x

Thanks all.

Keep sending in your requirements - it's your chance to shape it while we're in feedback/build phase.

Yeh - bit of a popularity vote based on who won it!

Not to worry - our entry gets pinned to our application form and it will only help us going forward!

Has anyone tried the new 3D Exports for Google Earth? Are they working ok?
