We have been to the seminar, where this video has been taken. Robin and Kevin Kocher are brilliant trainers. We learned so much and stil digesting since Easter. The Kocher Methode to train the mantrailing is very effective.

I might do, but there where quiet a lot of students and we were in three groups. We were in Robin Kocher's group and like I said it was great and we will be most likely going to America next year. Long term plans from the Kocher's is for us to become trainers for their institute, which I think would be brilliant.

Do the Kochers run courses that are open to anyone? Specific scent trailing in the urban environment interests me professionally.

They run courses in America, Austria and Germany. They are open for all people who want to train a mantrailer using their methode. The mantrailing dogs are much more used by the police in the above countries than in the UK. I am just fancinated by their method, it does bring the dogs forward in their progress very quickly, if followed correctly. Could I be nosy and ask in which way you are interested to use the mantrailering dog professional. You can sent me a pm if you like.

No secret I run a police dog section in London.

OK that explains everything
Is it right than that the police does not really train any mantrailing dogs in the UK?

Thats correct, there is (I think) only one trailing dog operational in the UK now. The type of work we do means that it is not a particularly necessary skill, compared to what else the dogs are/can be trained to do. There have been some positive experiments with it but it didn't catch on.

I think the dog is retired now. Would that mean there will be a lot of use for a good qualified mantrailing dog within LSD?
