Poisoning in London

I pass this on as a cautionary warning for anyone who lives in or uses Parks in North London. It seems someone is putting down poisoned meat (sausages and chicken) in Cannons Park, Edgware.
There have been three recent cases where sausages and chicken have been left with white powder within them, this has resulted in one very ill dog who is currently being treated by a local vet and won't be the same dog again. The white powder is believed to be from crushed tablets, the substance is unidentified but clearly poisionous to animals and humans.
Local police have put up signs as a warning but I guess the message is that there is at least one misguided person out there doing this again. Possibly aimed at foxes but clearly putting dogs and cats at risk. Often one case will lead to copycats elsewhere.
