Body found in Goodhue County Retrieved from

Sheriff's officials say a man who was tapping trees for syrup off the Hay Creek Recreational Trail, found what he believed was a dead body.
The man had noticed somehting covered in snow two weeks ago but believed it was a decomposing deer at the time.
The recent snow melt revealed articles of clothing and authorities comfirmed that it was human remains.
The body was found about 200 feet off of the trail in section 1 of Featherstone Township.
It is estimated the body had been there at least six months.
The victim is believed to have been about six feet tall and Caucasian.
The scene was secured for the evening and the investigation resumed this morning.
The Sheriff's Office is being assisted at the scene by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Minnesota Regional Coroner's Office. A search dog from the Minnesota Search and Rescue Dog Association will also be used to search for evidence in the area.
A portion of Hay Creek Recreational Trail has been closed while the scene is being processed.
