Search underway for elderly man missing in Skye

The 82-year-old failed to return from a walk close to Kinloch Lodge Hotel in the Sleat area on Friday afternoon.

The 82-year-old failed to return from a walk close to Kinloch Lodge Hotel in the Sleat area.

Northern Constabulary were alerted to his absence at around 7pm on Friday and are conducting a search along with other emergency services.

The Isle of Skye Mountain Rescue Team, The Search and Rescue Dog Association the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and a search and rescue helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth are all engaged in an ongoing search.
