Two walkers rescued in thick fog
Mountain rescuers were called out to rescue two walkers who were lost in thick fog in the Lake District.
The young men called emergency services after making a navigational error on the southern fells.
Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team, with colleagues from the Wasdale team, located the pair on Bowfell after searching for several hours.
The walkers were escorted to safety, cold but unharmed, in the early hours of Saturday.
About 20 volunteers, and two search and rescue dogs, were involved in the operation.
