Brock, one of the Berkshire Search and Rescue dogs, will be hoping to impress during the ‘Friends for Life’ competition in March which recognises dogs that make incredible differences to people’s lives.
The winner is decided by the public through an SMS vote.
The plucky pooch is trained for air scenting and for trailing and scent discrimination work, which helps if the team know where a missing person was last seen.
Brock, whose handler is Lou Holmes, has a Chief Constable’s Commendation and he is the only non police dog to ever receive such a commendation in the Thames Valley area.
The volunteer search dog group is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and relies on donations.
