Evaluation standards

What evaluation standards do you have?
In Greece there are no evaluation standards for SAR dogs, so we decide to work on IRO standards.
We indent to be IRO members soon and go to an evaluation test when we are ready...until then we are on training [biggrin] [biggrin] [biggrin]

With regards to USAR standards the only ones I have are the UK Fire Service Search & Rescue Dog Team ones (available from their website)

I have a dog, which I call Kate. I think she is a perfect SAR dog. I have been training it for long. But how can I prove this to others? Will I just need to pass through the test and produce a FEMA certificate? Oops this test has got three levels. So that means my doggie and my self has to train hard for passing the test. The test standards are quite high. But the result is worth, is it not?

All of the standrads that the Lowland Search Dogs are assessed to (air scenting, trailing or VR) can be found on the Lowland Search Dogs website i believe.
