Hi ya im a newbie

Hi there.

I'm new to k9 sar. We have a 10 week old working cocker, who is very playfull [tongue] & I would like to train her to search, but behave first [ninja] . So any help you guys can give will be greatly appreciated.

I hope to become a member of berkshire k9 sar. If they'l have me.

You should be anle to get lots of good advice here from all over the world in most matters SAR Doggy!

Did you go to a puppy class in the end?

I went along lastnite & think little madam will really enjoy it, it'l get her brain working.

Haven't gone to puppy classes yet. would like to though, trouble is if we can only get to a couple we've paid for the course and not got our monies worth.

Hi Rich,

We have a english field cocker who is only 3 if your one is from working stock I would def recommend traing her to retreive dummies, it will defo get her brain working.
as this is how her mum and dad would have began there training. If you have any questions i will be at training on Tuesday

Unfortunatly I'm not going to be able to make it down for the next couple of weeks. The joy of shift work! [mad]

We are trying to get her to fetch on command, which seems to go fairly well until she gets too excited. Then she just runs after the toy, kicks it then runs back and launches at you all teeth and paws, until you distract her with a different toy, she just wants to chew your arm/hand/foot/leg off.
