Biggles was a scout pilot not the author, nor is it a rank [nowink]

What rank did the author of the Biggle's books hold in the RAF?

He stayed with the Royal Air Force until 1927, retiring with the rank of Flying Officer.

Many apologies, mistake on autobiography read by my husband, who gave me the question - with the answer of "Second Lieutenant".

Seamus you won with Pilot Officer.

I do apologise.

Hubby says sorry, sorry should have double checked biography, rather than autobiography.
