Cchihuahua as a SAR Dog

Postby Daryl » Tue Nov 23, 2010 7:24 pm

Whats the most bizzare search and rescue dog that you have seen?

There is a report from Japan about a chihuahua becoming a USAR Dog for the police....

Is it just me, or is the Collie and GSD shunning it......? [unsure]

Well, we do always say to people who ask what breeds are best for SAR work "all breeds will be considered on their merits"!!! Would love to see the looks on people's faces if a Chihuahua turned up at our training sessions!!! Do we have any XXXS search jackets??? [laugh]

No :) Echo has the smallest Jacket from the cupboard (I believe donated by Netty?) and it still looks like a tent...
